At least one can . . .

Out with the M9 and 50mm Noctilux to see if I could focus the lens by rangefinder, results were mixed. Not a good mix, either. Shooting both wide open and stopped down, my hit rate for critical accuracy was just over 50%, with most of the accurate shots being the ones that were stopped down (second shot below).

While it’s a bit of a disappointment to be unable to be able to use the lens with the M9, I’m grateful to have the Visoflex to help me get things right on the M10-R. I couldn’t see any difference in rendering of in-focus shots between the two bodies.

Next task is to find the right (absence of) light and subject matter to make good shots. Onward!
