The last of the Leica M glass got trundled off today. One good thing about the M glass is that, in the end, cost of use proved to be minimal. Not so for their camera bodies or SL lenses, but today I’m satisfied. One Voigtlander remains in M-mount and may be joined by another when stocks come in.
Out with more RF glass, this is the first time in a while that I’ve delved heavily into a single system other than Leica. To see the progress that’s been made in lens quality is almost like culture shock. Non-L RF lenses now are better than some L lenses were ten or fifteen years ago. The RF L lenses I’ve tried so far: WOW!!
If I had any question as to whether I’d sacrifice some image quality with this move, so far the answer has been a resounding “NO!” Mostly done now with changes, one or two more tweaks and then . . .
. . . time to shoot! 😁
