Backtracking . . .

There are benefits to keeping my critter archives within easy reach. Drawbacks, too. Like seeing images from four years ago that pretty much bury the quality of what I’ve been shooting the past year or so.

After a series of crappy experiences with teleconverters in recent months, something prompted me to dig up some photos from the E-M1 II and 300mm f/4 Pro + 1.4X. Yes, I could see in some images what had given me some dissatisfaction with that setup. But sharpness, color, and contrast weren’t among the dissatisfying criteria.

A shot from back then is posted below. Not too hard to figure out where my mind’s headed…with my wallet likely following closely.
