A large block of downtime yielded a chance to dive into the archives for shots from my previous copy of the 23mm Summicron-T, which in turn led to some pangs of “homesickness” for my beloved Bangkok.
After a possibility for acquiring a copy of this lens didn’t pan out, a visit to the archives was to decide whether I could just crop the 18mm Elmarit to 23mm, or if the 18-56mm Vario-Elmar could take its place. Yes to the former, no to the latter, but I’ll still search for the tiny ‘cron.
Two shots below illustrate its usefulness, the first of Pathumwan intersection a few years ago; and the second a grand illustration of my gear craziness over the past year or so . . .
