Good start . . .

My previous copy of the Lumix S 70-300mm was shot only on the CL. Sharpness was great whenever AF worked correctly, but because IpadOS didn’t support the CL at the time, other aspects of image quality were not so good. But whenever birds were within a reasonable distance, it captured excellent feather details.

First outing with the new copy on the SL2 was encouraging, with excellent color and center sharpness. AF was fast and didn’t miss, albeit on subject matter less challenging than my feathered pals. Looks as though it’ll do well as a general purpose telephoto zoom, whenever one is needed.
