Sometimes you don’t know what works best, even when you have it in your hands, until you’ve tried all the other options. That appears to be the case with m43 and the Oly 300mm.
Seems as though it would be plenty easy to get by indefinitely with the 90-280mm SL, the PL 100-400mm, and the Oly 300mm f/4 Pro. That means totally ditching a few other on-hand options.
Oh, I might yet have to try the PL 200mm f/2.8+1.4X. It never ends . . .
