‘Net larnin’

One thing that tickles me when I read reviews of photography gear is how a few certain descriptive words seem to work their way into a lot of them. Is it because the reviewer can’t come up with a better word? Or is it because certain lazy reviewers habitually read (and copy from) each other’s reviews?

Going a bit further, I searched online to see if I could find some in-depth information on an intermediate-level aspect of photography. The first few links I came up with led to misinformation from people who either have no conceptual understanding of the subject matter or who tried to reword something they copied from elsewhere and got it wrong.

Not surprising, really, in this day and age of “content creation.” Oh, be careful, little eyes, what you see…
