No lightning, no problem . . .

A steady rain persisted throughout the afternoon, but so did my wish to go for a walk. I grabbed the Oly setup and headed out the door.

Seeing how the 300mm f/4 still managed to capture an amazing amount of detail in poor light reminded me of how good the 280mm f/4 APO-Telyt-R was at that. In fact, the Oly is probably the only long prime I’d put in the same league as the venerable 280mm, with the added benefits of autofocus and about 1.8X the relative reach.*

By the time my feet hit my doorstep, the rain was letting up. I’m glad I didn’t.
