Available subject matter…

Little more than a decade ago, I enjoyed chasing tiny critters with macro glass. Diminishing availability of subject matter, perhaps a consequence of overly-enthusiastic vector control, was probably what prompted me to start noticing birds. Thus began another pursuit.

Now, a similar circumstance is well into its evolution, partially from much green being turned to grey concrete, as well as travel being limited by current pathological issues. It’s becoming progressively more difficult to find birds to photograph.

Rather than viewing this as a constriction of my photographic passion, I choose to see it as an expansion. The world evolves, and so must I.
