Wild Hair, cont’d

After running the gamut of gear for shooting long, m43 found its way back into my arsenal. Capitulation to age in order to lighten the load? Sure, that was a part of it. Mostly it was that five years of progress advanced the format’s IQ to a competitive level. Simply put, for me, it’s the best option.

And after years of plying through Sony, Nikon, Canon, Leica (three different mounts), Fuji, Sigma, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax, and, yes, even Linhof, it appears that M gear will soon return to the arsenal for shooting short.

Exploring SL gear has been akin to reaching the summit of what I thought to be the highest hill, looking around, and realizing that a hill I previously scaled has an even higher summit.

So a new climb begins. For me, it appears to be the best option.
